Dr Katherine Ferdenzi
Welcome to Cheshire Psychological Therapy. Dr Katherine Ferdenzi is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with experience in working with a range of mental health problems and emotional difficulties across the lifespan. Dr Ferdenzi has worked in a range of mental health settings for the past 25 years and has considerable clinical experience.
As well as offering a service to Adults and Young People who are experiencing mental health problems and distress, Dr Ferdenzi has a specialist interest in working with Women’s Mental Health, Perinatal Mental Health, Reproductive Health, Infertility and in Infant Mental Health. She is also very experienced in working with parenting problems and with families who have Adopted Children and with Children who have experienced traumatic early histories.
Dr Ferdenzi is trained to use a variety of evidence-based approaches including Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Brief Psychoanalytic and Systemic approaches. Treatment is commonly short or medium term, but can be longer term depending on your individual needs. We will set specific goals to work towards at the start of the work and focus on what is important to you.
Cheshire Psychological Therapy is based in Chester on the edge of North Wales, within early reach of the M23, M6 and A55. Online sessions are also available within the UK by prior arrangement.
Dr Ferdenzi is registered by the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and with the British Psychological Society (BPS). She is registered to provide work with most of the major private health insurance companies, or can be consulted on a private basis.
